CopBlock.org is now hosting a weekly Content Contest
sponsored by
Suns of Liberty Mint!

Each week, the lucky winner will get a 1/4 ozt Suns of Liberty Mint “Fine Silver Quarter” and a T-shirt of their choosing from the CopBlock.org/store!

Congratulations to today’s winner, DEO, with the post Driver’s License CheckpointDeo, who shared a number of posts this week, is very active with Greater Cleveland Cop Block. I was particularly amused by a comment made in the video included in the winning post. “He’s not identifying himself because he saw something on YouTube about his freedom and his rights.” Thanks to everybody who submitted a post this week; your contribution to spreading the idea that badges don’t grant extra rights is greatly appreciated.

To enter this week’s contest, simply go to www.CopBlock.org/submit and share an original blog post relevant to police accountability.

The only requirements for the contest are that the blog post is your own writing, the blog post is in some way relevant to police accountability, and the blog post is submitted before 11:59 PM on Thursday (Oct. 24). Otherwise, be creative!

*Recount your own police interaction – Give a complete overview of what happened and include (if possible) related pictures/video, name and badge number, agency, and contact information for person and agency. You’re encouraged to first review the post “So You’ve Been Wronged by a Police Employee?

*Recount a police interaction you witnessed – Give a complete overview of what happened and include (if possible) related pictures/video, name and badge number, agency, and contact information for person and agency.

*Share your own writing – Something you think would fit on CopBlock.org, original piece or cross-posted. If cross-posted, be sure to include links to your blog/site and contact information for how others can find you.

All submissions received before 11:59 PM on Thursday (Oct. 24) will be eligible to win, and I will announce the winner at 4:00 PM on Friday (Oct. 25). Be sure to provide an accurate email address when filling out the submission form or I won’t be able to contact you to find out where to ship your prizes.

If you are considering the idea that there may be better alternatives to the coercive monopoly on policing/”protection” services that exists today, you may also want to start considering (and stacking!) alternative currencies, like gold and silver. You can get started with some of Sun’s of Liberty Mint’s lovely, divisible fine silver by being the winner of this week’s contest or simply visiting the SunsofLibertyMint.com/store.
